Elena Maccaferri - Pedagogista
Elena Maccaferri began working with the Municipal Preschools in 2000 as an Atelierista. Since 2007, she has worked as a pedagogista in the Pedagogical Coordinating Team of the Istituzione of Preschools and Infant-Toddler Centres of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, collaborating with both infant-toddler centres and preschools. She also collaborates with Reggio Children on the development of publishing projects and professional learning journeys, participating in seminars and workshops both in Italy and abroad.
Among her other responsibilities for the Istituzione of Preschools and Infant-Toddler Centres, Elena oversees research into the languages of dance and music, coordinating projects such as Between Sound and Music, Resonances, and Constructing the Future: The Aesthetic Dimension and the Language of Dance.
Consuelo Damasi - Atelierista
Consuelo graduated in 1991 with a Diploma of Baccalaureate in Applied Art from the State Art Institute G. Chierici of Reggio Emilia. In 1997, she obtained her Diploma di Alta Cultura from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna (School of Painting).
Consuelo has worked as an Atelierista for the Istituzione of Preschools and Infant-Toddler Centres of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia since 1999, currently working at Anderson Municipal Preschool in Reggio Emilia.
She has collaborated with other pedagogistas, educators, and atelieristas in the design, implementation, and management of the Citizen Ateliers at the International Centre Loris Malaguzzi and has also contributed to training courses in the language of photography for teachers in various parts of Italy.


Jane McCall - Translator/Interpreter
Jane McCall lives and works in Reggio Emilia and has been a free-lance translator/interpreter collaborating with Reggio Children and the Municipal Schools for over twenty years. She has interpreted for study groups visiting Reggio Emilia from around the world, with several different professional profiles in education, governance, architecture, philosophy, epsitemology, arts and sciences.
Her translations include the exhibitions One City Many Children, The Wonder of Learning and Bordercrossings, as well and the works of Vea Vecchi, Loris Malaguzzi and Reggio Emilia pedagogistas in Art and Creativity in Reggio Emilia, Loris Malaguzzi and the Schools of Reggio Emilia, and some chapters of The Role of the Pedagogista in Reggio Emilia.
Jane has interpreted in conferences held in China, Singapore, the Gulf, Australia, South Africa, the United States, and Canada, working with translator colleagues in mixed language settings, and with smaller groups in formative professional learning initiatives, often in connection with travelling exhibition-ateliers.
