REsearch Conversations is a Reggio Emilia Australia Information Exchange (REAIE) network group that meets in the northern suburbs of Sydney, organised by a team of volunteer convenors.
It is designed for teachers and lecturers in the early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary fields who have a desire to intentionally come together to build strong collegial connections and to explore the inspiration and provocation of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project in Northern Italy within the Australian context.
Each term we host and facilitate opportunities for educators to connect and learn together through professional conversation, research and the sharing of ideas. A strong value that guides our times together is a commitment to ‘delve deep’ in our thinking about the nature of education, learning and humanity.
Our research in 2020 will be shaped by the notion of education as a ‘landscape of relationships’. This focus has been chosen as a way of pre-researching ideas about relationships ahead of the 2021 REAIE Conference in Melbourne, which carries the same theme.
To protect the integrity of the research we undertake each year, and to support the developing group dynamic, we ask those joining to commit ahead of time to attend all meetings in a given year (within reason). As such, please carefully consider the dates of meetings before joining.
By registering you will be making a commitment to:
– attend each of the meetings
– contribute to the group through shared discussions
– Make your teaching and documentation visible and discussable within the group
– embrace openness to other points of view
