As we gather for our final network meeting of 2025, we continue our collective research into the pedagogy of relationships, with a visit to Climb Pre-kindergarten (Innaloo). We will have an inspiring opportunity to consider ways of nurturing relationships as we hear about the ‘Much Loved Project’ and tour Climb’s wonderful indoor and outdoor environments:
Much Loved Project – Nurturing Relationships
During the settling period, much-loved plush comforters, or transitional objects, play a special role in helping children feel safe and secure as they begin Pre-Kindergarten. These treasured items form part of our Much Love Project and provide comfort during times of separation, support self-soothing, and open up initial gentle conversations with educators. Through these shared connections, children begin to build trust, confidence, and meaningful relationships as they settle into their new environment. We are proud to have been recognised as Exceeding in NQS Quality Area 5: Relationships with Children.
During the meeting, we will also reflect on and determine our research focus for 2026.
We hope you can join us!
Our meeting will be held on Whadjuk Country, on the traditional lands of the Noongar Nation. The traditional name for Innaloo is Njookenbooroo.
