2025 REAIE Conference - Adelaide, South Australia
REAIE is excited to announce the call for presentation proposals for our 12th Biennial Conference. We welcome submissions from individuals and groups working with and for children and families across Australia, the Asia Pacific, and beyond. Presentations must reflect the values and principles of the Reggio Emilia educational project.
Conference Theme: Inspired by the profound changes experienced by children, families, and communities over six decades of the Reggio Emilia municipal pre-schools and infant-toddler centres, we echo Malaguzzi’s call for “a pedagogy of collective desire” (Moss, 2012, p. 124). This theme is especially relevant in today’s complex times, emphasising the interdependent relationships between children, educators, families, and communities.
Join us as we engage with colleagues from Reggio Emilia to explore how the Reggio Emilia Approach® continues to offer innovative perspectives on children, childhood, and education. The 2025 Conference will delve into the nexus of theory and practice, promoting an educational ethos grounded in hope, optimism, and collaboration.
Submission Deadline: Please complete the online submission by 5:00 PM AEDT, Friday 29 November, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by 28 February 2025.
Presentation Formats: 45-minute concurrent presentations
Topics of Interest: We invite papers and interactive workshops/ateliers that address the role and value of collaboration, focusing on (but not limited to) the following threads:
- Participation, Listening and Democracy (as an act of collaboration)
- Equity and inclusion (as an act of collaboration)
- Interdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary Teams (as an act of collaboration)
