2025 REAIE Board Nomination

As a new Board is elected at the AGM, members are encouraged to reflect on the purpose, mission, values and work of REAIE and consider nominating for the Board, to support the progress of REAIE and its work.

Board roles are voluntary and can be both rewarding and demanding. A commitment of personal time, energy and dedication is needed. Members considering nominating for the Board are encouraged to be aware of the importance and expectation of attending meetings, and participating in at least one Task Group, in addition to Board meetings and responsibilities. Board participation should not be considered a role for personal benefit, such as professional learning or gain. (Board and Task Group meetings are held monthly).

The Board fulfils important functions including:

  • Providing strategic leadership.
  • Ensuring the organisation is financially viable and meets legal and legislative requirements.
  • Determining how REAIE will further its purpose and meet the interests of members.
  • Supporting the organisation across 4 key professional learning focus areas (Task Groups): Conference, Research Symposium, Events/Schedules and Content Development and Delivery.

The work of the Board is spread across a range of projects including professional learning, a biennial conference, publications, study groups, international relations and working in collaboration with other organisations.

Board nominations close at 9am on Tuesday 15 April 2025.
