Equity and Diversity
REAIE has been reflecting upon Equity and Diversity and what it means for the organisation. We began by listening to the voices of children and it is important to us to hear the voices of our members.
Valuing difference is a choice that influences pedagogy.
"
Encountering differences is probably one of the strongest aspects of contemporary life. Accepting, respecting and valuing the differences in others is a great ethical choice, which is possible for every modern person. Differences are not a problem that we annul or eliminate. They are a resource and an opportunity
” (Spaggiari, 2004, p.4).
What do you understand by inclusion, equity and diversity? REAIE invites you to respond through the lens of inclusion, equity and diversity.
