Please join us to watch ‘Not Just Anyplace’, a documentary film on the history of Reggio Emilia’s municipal centres for early childhood. We will be viewing this film through the lens of transformation by considering the joys and challenges of change within an educational context. We will then break into three groups (below) to explore the concept of transformation through documentation, readings, and dialogue.
OPTION 1: Documentation Group
The Documentation Group will explore the relationship between documentation and transformation. We will have a short presentation by Leanne Lovett, Director of Madge Sexton Kindergarten, who will share with us the way documentation was a powerful tool to transform the culture of her Centre. It transformed the way that educators worked with the children, and transformed the image of the child within the wider community.
OPTION 2: Reading Group
The reading group will be looking at transformation in response to Chapter 1 from Visible Learners: promoting Reggio-inspired approaches in all schools. Click HERE to download the reading.

OPTION 3: Starting your Reggio Journey
We will reflect on the documentary to identify, explore, and discuss the principles of Reggio Emilia.
