Date: Friday 23 November, 2018
Time: 5:00pm for 5:30 - 7:00pm
Venue: Reggio Emilia Australia Information Exchange (REAIE) - VIC
Category: Network Meeting
In his acceptance speech of The Kohl International Teaching Award, Malaguzzi said:
“…we adults need first and foremost to be convinced that children are not only holders of rights, but that they are holders of their own culture, they are holders of a capacity for developing more culture, and they are capable of building their own culture and contaminating our culture.” (in The Hundred Languages of Children, p 423)
As we near the end of another school year please join us as we come together to discuss the many and various ways we honour the learning journeys of children.
“Perhaps more than a nostalgia for the past we need nostalgia for the future. Children, the children that are and the children to come, are waiting for us there in the place where nostalgia for the future is capable of arriving, and let us all hope we are there too.” (in The Hundred Languages of Children, p 423)
Please bring a plate to share, as well as your experiences and thoughts, and join us in the discussion!
Please note: Organisational members are entitled to unlimited tickets for REAIE Network meetings. If you require more member tickets, please contact the office.
