Program Description

The Research Conversations and Inner West Network Convenors look forward to welcoming you back to a space of relationship and collaboration, discussing threads of possibilities that we can explore more deeply together.

We are delighted that Highfields School are hosting our first meeting of this year. We will have an opportunity to explore their environment and spaces between 5.30pm and 5.50pm before we start our meeting at 6pm. Sandy and Fiona will share their journey of reflection and innovation with children, teachers and families in the preschool and K to Year 2 classrooms over the last few years, and we will have an opportunity for questions and discussions.

Convenors welcome everyone

Teachers at Highfields will share highlights of their transformative journey over the last 3 years:

• Sandy Ireland will share how they are developing ‘a culture of research’ with children, teachers, and families.
• Fiona Dundas-Smith will share how they have embedded deep learning and inquiry-based principles across K – Year 2.

In 2022, an unanimous decision was made to merge the Inner West and REsearch Conversations network group.

• So, what name do you think we should call ourselves moving forward and why?
