REsearch Conversations & Inner West Network Meetings 2022
METAMORPHOSUS

Deb, Virginia, Jess and Paula, look forward to welcoming you back to a space of relationship and collaboration, discussing threads of possibilities that we can explore more deeply together. During 2020 and 2021 it became clear that REsearchConversations and the Inner West network groups were working along very similar paths of inquiry, contribution, and research, and we found that we shared members who were attending both meetings.
Over the last few months, the Co-convenors of both groups, have been in discussions about whether we should actually come together and form a new network group to broaden the possibilities, strengthen our connections and reimagine our focus for 2022.
“We wonder what new possibilities would arise if we were to come together to make connections when people cross borders! We also wonder are there things that we may lose if we were to come together?”
This is the first question we would like to put to all the invested people who attend either group, or both groups, to discuss at this zoom meeting on Wednesday 4 May 2022 from 6pm to 7:30pm.
One of our concerns was how would we physically come together over such a large area and in response we thought that we could meet alternatively between the inner west and the northern regions.
The second part of this meeting will be reflecting on ‘What is our image of the child’? and ‘What is your services image of the child that is reflected and embedded in their philosophy’?
Unpacking this is core to our work as teachers. It influences everything we do; the decisions we make, the environments we create, our attitude and relationships, our focus and vision for children, and the way we document children’s learning.
If you would like to share your thoughts before the meeting, please email them to researchconversationsnsw@reggioaustralia.org.au by Tuesday 3 May and we can share them. Otherwise, we really look forward to creating a strong vision for us all on the night through your collaboration and ideas.
