Wondering and Wandering: Mosaic of Marks Exhibition
Our next Thinking Together Differently network meeting will be at the Marrickville Library on 1 September 2025 where the Mosaic of Marks exhibition is being held.
The exhibition space has been booked from 3pm to allow everyone to immerse themselves in the exhibition before coming together in the library meeting space to reflect and dialogue until 7.30pm
As you wander/wonder through the Mosaic of Marks exhibition:
- Consider the role of documentation as ‘assessment’.
- Wonder about the term ‘making children’s thinking visible’ and article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child- Children have a right to be heard.
- Ponder how professional identity is being expressed.
- Relate these wonderings to your/our practices, and what our documentation does.
Perhaps Mosaic of Marks may seem distant from our daily days and contexts but it offers an invitation:
- To re-connect with the multidimensional child,
- To listen—truly listen—with curiosity, with our whole being,
- To attendere, asoltare, attentamente (to listen care-fully)
- To wonder, and wonder, and wonder.
- To create space for the time of life, for the time of human beings.
