For over a decade Cannon Hill State School has been inspired by the Reggio Approach. People who come to this meeting will be able to walk through the nature play inspired playgrounds, tour the classrooms, look closely at project implementation and engage in deep discussion on the topic of transition from Early Childhood to Primary schooling. What would Early Childhood educators like to see continued as the connection between the Early Years Framework and the Australian curriculum?
In preparation for the Network meeting, participants may wish read Indications: Preschools and Infant-Toddler Centres of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia. This includes the 12 principles of the educational project of Reggio Emilia. Participants may wish to reflect on where they find these principles evident in early learning and also in the primary context.
