tasreggio Network Group invites you to join us in Launceston to explore the learning of young children and their educators at two venues, Ravenswood Child Family Centre (9.30am -11.30am) and the Launceston Gorge, a bush learning site used by Early Learning classes at Scotch College (12.30-2.30pm).
Exploring and Developing Environments and Partnerships with Babies and their Families
Join educators of the Ravenswood Child and Family Learning Centre for a tour of their learning environment and learn how they have developed partnerships with children and their families from birth to school aged children. The CFLC team have also embarked on an exploratory research and documentation process with their baby group to deepen and strengthen the relationships between babies, their parents/carers and staff and the way in which presentation and placement of materials impacts the connections within the environment.
Bush Learning
Join the Scotch College early childhood educators and learn how they investigated the role of teachers as researchers at their various bush learning sites around their campuses. Educators will reveal their thoughts around their research question:
How engaging in bush learning might inspired us to challenge our thinking!
We will be immersed in one of the bush learning sites used by Scotch College and listen to the discoveries and reflections made by children and their educators.
Morning tea will be provided at Ravenswood FCLC and we ask you to BYO a picnic lunch to enjoy at the Launceston Gorge.
Please ensure you wear practical clothing and walking shoes!
