This year continues to provide challenges both in the classroom and beyond with limited opportunities to gather. In 2020 many educators and children were required to adapt their end of year celebrations to accommodate viewing from a distance. At this stage it is unclear what our end of year might look like. As such, we would like to facilitate an evening for exchange and dialogue with regards to End of Year Celebrations. We would be delighted to share a variety of ideas from different contexts and age groups. If you feel you have something to offer for this meeting, please email melbournereggio@reggioaustralia.org.au.
Please note: In line with REAIE policy, sections of the meeting which depict images of children will not be recorded or shared further to the meeting.
In preparation for this session, you may like to read Transforming End of Year Celebrations. REAIE Blogs, Volume 3, No. 1.
The agenda is as follows:
7:30pm Welcome
7:40pm Sharing footage / photographs and information from End of Year Celebrations
8:10pm Discussion
8:30pm Close meeting
This will be our final meeting for 2021, if you miss out or are unable to attend this event, please watch our website for future opportunities.
Another celebration taking place this year is REAIE’s 21st Birthday. To mark this occasion, you are invited to contribute to a collection of works, What do I wish for children? For more information on how to be involved, please email admin@reggioaustralia.org.au.
Please send contributions to reaiewishesforchildren@reggioaustralia.org.au by the end of October.
