2021 Research Symposium - Frequently Asked Questions

What is required to participate in the 2021 Research Symposium?

  • Desktop computer or laptop is recommended. Tablets/smartphones may also be used.   

  • Reliable internet connection.   
  • Web browser designed for good access to audio visual content such as, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari. Internet Explorer is not recommended, as some functions are not fully supported.

    To download a new browser click the following software names:  
    Chrome      Firefox       Safari (Apple) 

  • Speakers or, for the best audio experience, headphones.
  • Zoom Client application. The software can be downloaded and installed using the following link forZOOM
  • To access the REAIE SLACK workspace please click here.
  • An email will be sent to your email address for you to confirm that your email is correct, please follow the instructions on this email on how to confirm your email address.
  • From the main slack page click on the REAIE workspace.
  • You will then be taken to the REAIE workspace where you can select the channel that you would like to join from the left hand side.
  • As the presentations will be available until 28 August please note that responses may not be immediate. SLACK channels will remain open until 28 August.

What to do if you have any technical problems on the day?

How to access the sessions on Saturday 10 July?

An email will be sent to participants with the links to access the sessions on Friday 9 July at 3.00pm (AEST) as well as Saturday 10 July at 9.30am (AEST).

Please note links will only be active from 9.30am Saturday 10 July
This session will commence at 10:00am (AEST) and include an Acknowledgement of Country, Introduction to the day, Claudia Giudici – President of Reggio Children, Jan Millikan and Dr Jane Merewether and Dr Stefania Giamminuti. This session will conclude at 1:30pm (AEST).

AFTERNOON SESSIONS
From 1:30pm (AEST) participants are able to construct their own program by visting the different Conference Rooms:
Inspiration Room; Exchange Room and Dialogue Room.
Reminder: These sessions will be available until Saturday 28 August 2021.

EVENING SESSION
Live from Reggio Emilia, Italy, you are invited to join a Q&A with Claudia Giudici and celebrate the 21st Anniversary of REAIE. This session will commence at 7:00pm (AEST) and conclude at 8:00pm (AEST).
Please submit your questions and reflections in the zoom chat in the morning.

What part of the program is live?

The morning session will be hosted in our Auditorium (a live Zoom webinar) with Speakers Claudia Giudici – President of Reggio Children, Jan Millikan, founding member of REAIE, and Dr Jane Merewether and Dr Stefania Giamminuti. Please submit your questions and reflections as they come to mind via the chat function. Claudia will participate in a live Q&A at 7pm.

In the evening session you are invited to join Reggio Children live from Italy for a Q&A with Claudia Giudici and celebrate the 21st Anniversary of REAIE.

Each speaker has been allocated a channel on our SLACK account.
Each Slack channel is listed on the Speaker’s presentation section of our website in their Conference Room.

When will you receive the links to the sessions?

Links to the Auditorium and Conference rooms will be sent to participants on Friday 9 July. Please note links will only be active from 9.30am Saturday 10 July. 

How long is access available to the sessions?

Participants will have access to a recording of Claudia Giudici’s presentation for 2 weeks following the Symposium.

  • For those participants who already have personal accounts with Reggio Children, the recording will be available in your account.
  • If you do not already have an account with Reggio Children please click here to create one.
  • The recording will be available to view for 2 weeks.

You may choose to view recordings of the Conference Room sessions throughout the day. Remember you will have access to the Australian content until 28 August 2021, enough time to view/read them all as many times as you wish.
