Brick by Brick (2000)

This book details the history of XXV Aprile Municipal Preschool of Villa Cella, one of the first schools opened in Reggio Emilia after the end of the 2nd World War. The development of the municipal schools and pedagogy is set in the historical, political and cultural context. This is a detailed narrative of the beginning of what became the educational project of Reggio Emilia and assists in understanding some of the forces at work that influenced the developing identity of the school system.
