Queensland Network Groups

Brisbane Research Group

We invite you to join us on our journey of understanding, making connections and reflecting on practice. Inspired and challenged by the educational project of Reggio Emilia, we meet in different locations across Brisbane once per term to share experiences. These meetings include professional learning seminars, pedagogical research and opportunities to challenge our thinking about education.

Many years ago, the founding members of our group created ‘a space for thinking’. We would like to think that our group meetings of today aim to continue along this path.

Gold Coast Network

The Gold Coast Network is a new group of educators who are interested in the Reggio Emilia educational project. Meetings are held once a term in various services to provide opportunities for dialogue, debate and discussion on how we can adapt the Reggio approach in Australia.

Educators come with varying experiences and knowledge, some new to Reggio Emilia and others who have attended study tours to Reggio Emilia in Italy. Collaboratively we hope to build a community of learners who can share their ideas and experiences and grow together to gain a shared understanding of children as capable, competent beings who speak through ‘a hundred languages’.
