This workshop will focus on how to use “Progettazione”- a strategy of thought and action that is respectful of children’s questions and inquiries into the world around them. It will look at learning how to learn with children in an attempt to understand the delicate relationship between teaching and learning and what is meant by the idea of documentation. Utilising the National Frameworks of EYLF and Australian Curriculum, it will unpack ways to structure an inquiry, looking at different entry points to best fit the group of children that each educators have. It will introduce the idea of an inquiry cycle which includes searching for the Nodes and relaunching ideas to ensure depth.
Jenny has visited Reggio on three occasions and is the Director of Northside Grammar School. She has over 30 years experience in Early Childhood and has recently completed her Masters in Early Childhood.
Tanya Stevenson has also visited Reggio 3 times and is the current co-ordinator of the Canberra network. Tanya has worked in the area for over 20 years and is the pedagogical leader for 2 services. She has a background in PYP as well as Reggio and is currently completing her 5th course with Harvard University.
